Parade
The 2024 Gizzard Fest Parade Will be held Friday, June 7th at 6:30 p.m. The theme is "Under the Sea". We can't wait to see who has the most creative design!
The link to the parade application is located at the bottom of this page.
The parade will start at the corner of Pearl Street and Hartel (M-100), travel down Pearl Street, to Nelson Street, and then proceed down Main Street to the school.
We are proud to announce the 2024 Gizzard Fest Parade Grand Marshal is Pastor Mark Aupperlee, who is the pastor of Sycamore Creek Church in Potterville.
Rev. Dr. Aupperlee started serving at Sycamore Creek Church in Potterville in September 2016 as part of a career change from breast cancer researcher to pastor. Pastor Mark has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Calvin University and his Ph.D. In Cell and Molecular Biology from Michigan State University. He published over 20 research articles before following his call to become a pastor in Potterville. He quickly fell in love with Potterville and the people of this community.
Pastor Mark and Sycamore Creek Church love to support and engage the Potterville community. Pastor Mark has been active with the Potterville Chamber of Business and has served on the Gizzard Fest committee since 2020. Pastor Mark and Sycamore Creek have formed partnerships with local businesses to support those businesses and give back to our community, and they partner with the Potterville schools to support students through a Back to School Bash each August and through volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
Pastor Mark is proud to represent Sycamore Creek Church and Potterville in the 2024 Gizzard Fest parade.
Want to be in this year's parade? Please contact Samantha Frazee, the parade coordinator, at 616-389-7756.
