Gizzard Fest is not your ordinary festival. Thousands of people stream into Potterville for this unique event and good old-fashioned fun! The small town atmosphere, live music, carnival, and great food (including plenty of gizzards) bring people from across the Midwest.

Gizzard Fest Pageant
This year, we are hosting a pageant for the youth of the City of Potterville. There will be two age categories for contestants: 6-12 year old students will compete for a $300 scholarship, and 13-18 year old students will compete for a $500 scholarship. Scholarships are generously sponsored by Frank’s Food Mart.
The pageant will be one to build confidence, friendships, and community pride within our youth.
The Gizzard Fest Pageant will be held on Thursday, June 9th at 6:00 p.m. at the pavilion located in downtown Potterville.

Parade
The 2022 Gizzard Fest Parade Will be held Friday, June 10th at 6:00 p.m. The theme is "A ride through the decades". Please come dressed in your favorite 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s attire. The link to the parade application is located at the bottom of this page.
The parade will start at Potterville Schools, travel down High Street, go across Vermontville to Nelson, and then proceed down Main Street back to the school.
This years Grand Marshall is Mr. Loren R. Smalley, Jr.
Mr. Smalley has spent most of his life here in Potterville, he was born and raised on the corner of Vermontville and Cottage. He has raised four boys, two have graduated from Potterville Schools, and one is currently at Potterville Middle School. He has served on the Board of Education for eight years, and was elected to City Council in 2020. For the past three years he has served as the Treasurer of the Potterville Area Chamber of Businesses. He helped start the Potterville Church of Christ, while there he helped serve by distributing Panera Bread to the community. He is accompanied today by his lovely wife Nora from Muskegon, they got married in 2021 during Gizzard Fest. Along with them is their son Jayden.

Another Clucking 5K
Calling all runners, joggers, and walkers. Join us for a 5k unlike any other Friday, June 10th at 7:30 p.m.
Chicken suits or attire is encouraged. All proceeds from this race will fund the 2023 Gizzard Fest 5K.

Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, June 11th, a pancake breakfast will be held in our pavilion/beverage tent located in downtown Potterville from 7am-11am. Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for students, and children age 5 and under will eat for free. Menu will include pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and American fries.
The breakfast will end when the motorcycles head out of town on a destination ride.
The pancake breakfast is hosted the Potterville Masonic Lodge with assistance from Just A Few Motorcycle Club. All proceeds go to benefit the Potterville Band Boosters.

Classic Car Show
Sponsored and organized by Durotech Automotive, the car show will be held at Potterville High School on Saturday, June 11th from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The entry fee is $10.00. The first 50 cars will receive a plaque. Car show trophies will be awarded.

Destination Bike Ride
On Saturday, June 11th, join "Just-A-Few" Motorcycle Club for a two-hour tour of rural Eaton County! The ride will begin following the blessing of the bikes at 11:00 a.m.
Register at the pavilion/beverage tent located in downtown Potterville during the Pancake Breakfast. A hat will be passed accepting donations for necessary improvement to the “Just-A-Few” Clubhouse.

Corn Hole Tournament
On Saturday, June 11th, there will be a cornhole tournament hosted by Round Head Cornhole.
The tournament will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the City Park Ball Fields located behind the carnival.
Round Head Cornhole will hold a singles, doubles, and crew cup tournament.

Softball Tournament
An Adults Men's Slow Pitch Silver NIT Tournament will be held at Lake Alliance Ball Field on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
Teams that are classified as “silver” may participate.
The deadline to sign up is June 8, 2022.

Fair Rides
Anderson Midways, LLC, a Michigan based company, will have their carnival rides set up in our City Park.
The carnival rides will run on Thursday, June 9th through Saturday, June 11th.
Wristbands will be available $20 for all day fun! You may also purchase individual tickets for $1.50 each, 15 tickets for $20.00, or 50 tickets for $50.00. Most rides require three tickets.

Fireworks
Yes, you read that right! We are going have firework display on Saturday, June 11th at dusk.
The fireworks will be launched by Wolverine Fireworks Display, Inc. adjacent to the City of Potterville Sunset Hill Park, located off from Sunset Dr.
Viewing will be perfect from anywhere in the City of Potterville!
